“Il Forte” pecorino cheese is a Sardinian pecorino made with pasteurized sheep’s milk. Fattorie Gennargentu actually produces its selection of pecorini, using milk from flocks raised in the wild, in mountain pastures. These are the ideal conditions that allows cheesemakers to create a selection of pecorini with a unique and authentic character. This pecorino in particular has a compact texture and a straw yellow color. The Italian name “Forte” means “Strong”, referring to its strong character and it intense flavors. When you taste it, you can actually perceive the scent of herbs, typical of the area.
Tips to taste “Il Forte” Pecorino Cheese
Try this pecorino with a drop of a sweet jam or with some honey to enhance all its flavors. You can actually serve it as a table cheese: it will be perfect! Being a seasoned pecorino cheese, you can also easily grate it over pasta. It will add a special final touch. In addition, you can also use it to fill fresh pasta, such as ravioli, or to add even more flavors to your lasagne.

Pasteurized sheep’s milk, salt, rennet, selected lactic ferments. Glazing agents: preservatives E203 – E235, colors E150d – E160b. Inedible crust. Does not contain GMOs.
