Description
Tuscan Finocchiona is one of the most famous cured meats of the Tuscan tradition. It is prepared with certified Tuscan meats from the Siena and Val D’Orcia areas, and flavored with fennel seeds. Farmers used to add fennel seeds to this salami to hide the taste of the wine when it was no longer so good. Tips to taste Tuscan Finocchiona
You can simply enjoy Finocchiona con a slice of bread or as a filling for a “schiacciata”, the typical Italian flatbread. Unmissable on a Tuscan cutting board, it also goes perfectly with local pecorino cheeses, more or less seasoned, and a glass of good red wine.
